So it all started after work on saturday....went home and got ready, drove over to ballina and got there at like 11:30pm, bus wasnt due til 12:20am. So I sat in my car til 12, and went over and sat between the big prawn and restaurant, it got to 12:20. No bus. 12:30. No bus. 12:40 I see it PULLING OUT of the caltex (on the other side of where I was) so I make a RUN for it, instead of chasing after it I ran to where it was headed and waved at it as it drove past me but it didnt look like it was going to slow down so I held out my arms (like palms facing up - as if to say what the hell...where are you going) he noticed me and I ran across the road and got on, apologised telling him I didnt know where I was meant to get on, he said he was there for 40 mins, he was pretty pissed but I was SOOO greatful he stopped because then and there I seriously thought I wasnt going to sydney.
So pretty much went straight to sleep (after settling down because my heart was still going a million miles from stressing that I has missed the bus) try to sleep on a bus is so hard to ... You know how like your head kinda just flops when you nod off and then you get woken up startled haha it was like that.
Had 2 stops on the way down - at Macksville (I think?? I was too sleepy to get off) and Karuah (at 7:30 I think it was)
Got into sydney city by midday, when we went over the bridge I was looking at the opera house - they were already setting up for the finale, the stage was up and everything.
When I got to the bus terminal I stood around and waited for heids ... She turned up and hooray the day begins.
First we went to her work, I got changed, and got ready so I could give my bag to my aunties partner so I wasnt carrying a backpack around sydney and into idol lol, I also gave a letter to my cousins from my brother and sister too while I quickly could. Then they were off.
Then I’m pretty sure we went and had lunch at P.J O’Malleys. I had to take a mission to find a ATM LOL, 3 places later I found one.
I got a chicken caeser salad for lunch, god damn it was good. And yeah we sat there for a while.
Then straight into looking at some shops.
WHEN WE WALKED INTO HMV I COULD HAVE DIED! John Mayer’s NEW CD was freaking there, I was holding it and I am like GOD DAMN IT why did I have to order it!?!?!?! Now I gotta wait 2 more weeks minimum, I coulda bought it but I didnt wanna have 2 copies.
And yeah went to myer, and lots of other shops to waste 2 and a bit hours. Got a coffee....well I did anyways.
When the time came we were on a bus to Global Studio’s, had to trek over there, poor heids in her heels :(
And went to stand straight in line.
We saw most the Idols arrive, Milly, Tarni, Daniel...and maybe more (theyre the only 3 I saw) turned up in a maxi taxi, Lee came in a normal Taxi, Dan came in a white car, he looked at me, I was too slow to wave LOL.
But the teenies were running after them when they arrived to where they got out, and OH MY GOD the squealing!!!! *killstabdie* lol I probably coulda gone over and said hello but with those little kids as competiton I thought it best to stay in line LOL
When we got inside we had to put our stuff into the cloak room, and then got the metal detector treatment LOL it was funny, first time thats ever been done to me = \
Then it was more standing around waiting in line. Roxy, Anne and Chris were like RIGHT there, they were hugging and signing stuff for all those squealing fans, I didnt get noticed but then again I had nothing for them to sign anyways..
Saw a lot of family members walking around.
Then around 7pm they slowly started letting us all in, exciting stuff, we were lining up to go around the front and up the back but heids saw 2 seats like RIGHT infront of us, which were like 3 rows back from the front right on the edge so we took them and SCORED! Mwahahaha.
When Kyle came out, just as he walked past me I held up my hand for a hi-5 and he gave me one! Mwahahah YES!!!
If we turned around we could see the idols. Natalie was glum looking all night like she was bored or something. All the others were happy chappy, one time I looked back Spillaine caught me and mouthed hello I just smiled at him LOL
Umm I mouthed hey to andrew g when he was looking in my direction but I dunno if he saw it or not....around the same time I saw James talking to G and the crew (while kates package was being shown) and I saw him say She’s going to win (and how right he was)
Heids was shouting out lotsa random stuff but the only thing you can hear on the actual show (when I watched it back) was her screaming out "GO FIRST" to Emily after the toin coss.
She asked Kyle for a lolly, and she got one, and kyle made sure it was specifically her that got it.
All that happened in ad breaks was the winner of the banner comp thing, mark threw a lolly to james and he caught it in his mouth (like from a distance away) said hello to the other finalists, and they gave away idol merch and stuff. And tickets to the finale.
At the end, media left first, then the judges and idols, then the rest of us got to go, as we were leaving there was a bunch of girls getting stuff signed by lee, but because we were moving so slowly security moved them away, as I walked past him I waved and said hello, and he waved and said hey back..with that grin of his.
Lee kinda seemed down all night, after the smile he went back to the sad-ish look.....I dunno whether it was because he was not in a good mood or if the whole happy all the time thing wasnt real, but oh well, I got to say hello, woulda been mad to get a photo with him but my bag was still in the cloak room. Doesnt matter, doesnt matter.
Then we got our bags and went outside, took a few self taken photos, then walked out the front to be picked up.
When Peter (my aunties partner) and the kids came I hugged and said good bye to heids then went back to my aunties to stay the night, watched tv for a bit - just the biggest loser mainly, then went to bed.
Got up at 5am = | GAHHH nearly died! Was like 6 hours sleep, got all my crap together, had breakfast, lindy gave me some stuff to take to my mum, I got to see sera (my newest cousin) shes gotten bigger! So cute, and I know shes only like a few months old but I swear she remembers me.
Went down to the bus station at 6:30, got my ticket, and shit sorted out, waited only a little while then it was goodbye :(
Went so fast!!! That 19 hours I spent in sydney.
About 1 hour out of sydney at Mt White, the bus broke down, so we had to wait for another one to be brought to us from sydney, that took 1 and a half hours, I swear I WAS NOT HAPPY I wanted to only be like 20 or 30 mins late for Idol. But ended up getting home just before Kate’s Performance, now I got all the stupid ads grr.
Only got ONE stop on the way home, at that was at Karuah, which was what like 2-3 hours out of sydney, I spent 9-10 hours on the bus straight with no break, I was starving and needed to pee, I thought I was going to die! Lol so boring too, I ended up finishing the wedding, and a magazine which I bought back in karuah. Battery in my MD player went flat, thankgod I brought backup, and I went crazy SMSing people. Lol
Got to Ballina at 8:30pm and hurried home to watch idol and get rid of as many ads as possible.
